This web-site serves Bowling Clubs in South Lanarkshire, which is the S.B.A. District 26., hence our name. We were established in 1983 when a group of bowlers met at the Hamilton Caledonian Bowling Club and set up a league for retired bowlers. Since then we have grown from strength to strength , and now have a membership of 27 Bowling Clubs with 66 teams of 8 bowlers playing in the league games on a Monday morning. The association also organises Singles, Pairs, Triples and Top-Ten Competitions.

  At the AGM the following are the KEY CHANGES for season 2010.

Due to the increase in the number of teams, 64 in 2009, now 66 teams for 2010. It was decided

to change from 4 SECTIONS TO 5 SECTIONS. We now have one section of 14 teams and 4 sections

of 13 teams. This leaves the teams in the sections of 13 with a Monday where the do not have a game. At the end of the season the winners of Sections 3 and 4 will play against each other to qualify for the Semi-finals. This game is scheduled for Monday 2nd August.

The CLUB DELEGATES decided to END THE PRACTICE OF REGISTERING PLAYERS for teams. This allows selectors more freedom when selecting players to play each Monday.
